FLUMY Research Program
FLUMY is the best and realistic way to model fluvial or turbiditic meandering channelized reservoirs.
A new momentum as started in 2022: Deep Learning techniques are currently used in order to generate very quickly a lot of realistic reservoir realizations while honoring your field data !
- Join the Research Program to:
- Benefit from the latest research developments
- Have access to the latest full version of the software (fluvial and turbiditic systems)
- Access to all FLUMY capabilities through Python or R extended packages
- Orientate new developments in tailor made project
- Support and benefit from FLUMY plugins in your favorite Reservoir Modeling Software suite (extra cost)
- Benefit from our trainings, workshops and our 4-days field trip
- Project overview:

On-going developments include:

Improving physically-based modules:
- An original flow description on any topography including a sedimentary transport module
- Enhance the description of reservoir heterogeneities
- Improve the quality of abandoned channels filling
- Open to new environments such as deltas or unconfined turbidites systems (terminal lobes)
- Taking into account external forcings
- According syn-sedimentary tectonic
- Climatic events

Conditioning to data and guiding the user:
- A decision module to propose a coherent set of parameters from a given set of well data
- Help the non-expert user by automatically analyses his well data
- Directly infers model parameters for each sedimentary units
- A new conditioning method
- Use Deep Learning techniques for honoring well and seismic data (FLUMY used as training images generator)
- Combine Sequential Monte Carlo simulation to Machine Learning techniques for improving efficiency
- Enhance and adapt the model response to field data
Recent developments include:
- New calibrated and full functional turbidite scenario
- Grain size variation in sand bodies and levees according local flow velocity
- Automatic inference of the Non-expert users parameters from well data
- Automatic determination of sedimentary units from well data
